AI-powered security robot to debut at Puri station ahead of Bahuda Yatra

East Coast Railway unveiled AI-powered robotic surveillance platform DSC ARJUN at Puri railway station ahead of Bahuda Yatra on July 24.

DSC ARJUN supports RPF personnel with AI, computer vision, machine learning, and IoT for proactive security.

Features include AI-based facial recognition, real-time crowd analytics, unattended baggage detection, and suspicious activity detection.

ECoR General Manager Parmeshwar Funkwal unveiled the robot; it may later be moved to Bhubaneswar station.

DSC ARJUN is the next phase of robotic policing in Indian Railways, following Captain ARJUN (2020) and humanoid ASC ARJUN at Visakhapatnam.
