Andheri, Goregaon Stations Set for SATIS Makeover To Ease Traffic Congestion

Mumbai's Andheri and Goregaon stations will be revamped under the Station Area Traffic Improvement Scheme (SATIS) to ease congestion.

The plan includes dedicated pedestrian pathways, skywalks, separate bus and auto bays, and improved parking.

The project is jointly planned by the Railways, MMRDA, and the civic body, with funding pattern yet to be finalized.

Andheri connects with Metro Line 1 and 7, the airport, and bus services; Goregaon links to Metro Line 2A, SV Road, Link Road, and the Western Express Highway.

After these two, similar SATIS projects are proposed for Bandra (East) and Borivali.
