Indian woman criticizes La Tomatina tomato quality

Indian content creator Anali Gupta shared a video after attending La Tomatina in Buñol, Spain, saying the experience was unlike the Bollywood film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD).

Gupta claimed the tomatoes used are often overripe or rotten, producing an overwhelming, nauseating smell that made her and others vomit.

She warned that the crowd is overwhelming and that participants who record videos may be specifically targeted.

Gupta said the only enjoyable part was after the fight ended, when crushed tomatoes formed a ketchup-like puree on the streets.

She advised people to attend with realistic expectations, noting the festival is messy, exhausting, and physically demanding.
