Mayor seeks closure of illegal meat shops along Kanwar routes

Mayor Pravesh Wahi wrote to municipal commissioner Sanjeev Khirwar seeking immediate closure of illegal meat shops along Kanwar routes in Delhi.

The letter also demands a ban on street vendors selling non-vegetarian food on key roads and around Kanwar Yatra camps.

Wahi appealed to licensed meat shops near Kanwar camps to remain closed during the holy month of Sawan.
