Pune Infrastructure: CM Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Launch ₹18,000-Crore Elevated Road

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis launched three elevated road projects in Pune worth ₹18,000 crore.

The projects include the 53.4-km Pune-Shirur elevated expressway, 31.5-km Hadapsar-Yavat elevated highway, and 53.2-km Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur elevated road.

The elevated roads aim to reduce traffic congestion and improve connectivity on major highways leading to Pune.

Fadnavis announced that the Pune-Nashik Phata road project foundation stone will be laid within 15–20 days, and over 50% land for Purandar International Airport has been acquired.

Gadkari highlighted that Pune is one of the most traffic-congested cities, and elevated corridors were planned due to limited land for road widening.
