Aamir Khan says 3 Idiots wasn't inspired by Sonam Wangchuk, expresses concern over his health: ‘Hope he ends his fast’

Aamir Khan said at the London Indian Film Festival that his character Rancho in 3 Idiots was not inspired by Sonam Wangchuk.

Aamir clarified that writers Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi did not know about Sonam Wangchuk when creating the film.

Aamir expressed deep concern for Sonam Wangchuk's health during his indefinite hunger strike, which began on June 28.

Aamir stated, 'All of us are hoping that he ends his fast.'

Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike is taking place at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.
