DU PG: 3rd-semester classes delayed as 1-yr course admissions underway

Delhi University delayed third-semester postgraduate classes because they will share sessions with the newly launched one-year PG course.

Admissions for the one-year PG programme are still ongoing; DU registrar Vikas Gupta said the selected candidates list will be released within a day or two.

GUPTA cited significant syllabus overlap between the one-year PG and the third and fourth semesters of the two-year PG as a reason for conducting classes together.

Students reported they were not informed in advance; the philosophy department only learned of the delay on July 29 via a message to class representatives.

Students in history, physics, astrophysics, and Hindi also reported similar delays.
