MHA designates two new special NIA courts in West Bengal for UAPA cases

The Ministry of Home Affairs designated two new special NIA courts in Kolkata.

The new courts will fast-track trials of scheduled offences under the UAPA.

Their jurisdiction covers 18 districts, including Kolkata, Howrah, and North 24 Parganas.

The existing special NIA court in Siliguri will cover five other districts.
