Pune auto fares to be hiked to ₹30 from September 1

Pune autorickshaw minimum fare will rise from ₹25 to ₹30 for the first 1.5 km from September 1, 2026.

Per-kilometre charge will increase from ₹17 to ₹20, as approved by the Regional Transport Authority (RTA).

This is the fourth fare hike since 2021, with the minimum fare up nearly 67% from ₹18 in 2021.

The hike follows the Khatua Committee recommendations, considering rising CNG prices and operating costs.

All autorickshaw meters must be recalibrated; until then, drivers must display the official fare chart.
