Himachal governor calls for strengthening higher education

Governor Kavinder Gupta stressed need to strengthen academic excellence and research in universities through collective commitment and institutional innovation.
He presided over the 36th Meeting of the Himachal Pradesh University Court in Shimla and inaugurated a Digital Studio/Mooc Recording Studio.
Gupta directed that University Court meetings be held regularly, preferably once every three months, and called for clearing pending audit paras to strengthen financial discipline.
He described HPU as a premier institution of higher learning and research serving the state and nation.
Gupta participated in a tree plantation drive at Jutogh Cantonment with minister Vikramaditya Singh, emphasizing environmental conservation against climate change.
