Spain stars Fabián Ruiz, Gavi honored with tomatoes by weight

Spain midfielders Fabián Ruiz and Gavi received tomatoes equal to their body weight after winning the FIFA World Cup.

Ruiz received 85 kg of tomatoes; Gavi received 68.5 kg.

The tradition began in 2010 when Jesús Navas was honored with tomatoes after Spain won the World Cup.

The town of Los Palacios y Villafranca also renamed football fields after Ruiz and Gavi and plans a monument for its three world champions.
