Pune: Three Key Elevated Road Corridors To Be Built Using Malaysian Technology, Says Nitin Gadkari

Three elevated road corridors in Pune district—Pune–Shirur, Hadapsar–Yavat, and Talegaon–Chakan–Shikrapur—will use Malaysian Ultra High Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC) technology.

The technology increases support pillar spacing from 30 meters to nearly 120 meters, reducing the number of pillars, lowering costs, and improving traffic flow beneath the elevated roads.

Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone alongside Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar.

The projects aim to ease traffic congestion on some of Pune's busiest roads, as Pune is one of the most traffic-congested cities in India.

MSRDC will construct the corridors; officials have been directed to use only high-quality materials after cracks were found on the Delhi–Dehradun elevated road.
