Prabhsimran Singh earns India call-up after consistent IPL performances

Prabhsimran Singh earned his maiden India call-up for the Zimbabwe T20I series in July 2026 after three consistent IPL seasons.

He replaced Sanju Samson as India's second wicketkeeper behind Ishan Kishan, with Shreyas Iyer captaining the side.

Punjab Kings retained him as one of only two players ahead of the 2025 mega-auction.

In IPL 2026, he scored 549 runs at a strike rate above 160, becoming the seventh player to reach 1,000 IPL runs for Punjab Kings.

Prabhsimran's consistent domestic performances included leading Punjab's run charts in the 2020-21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and a century on first-class debut.
