Indian Railways Approves Daily CSMT–Sawantwadi Road Express, Boosting Mumbai-Konkan Rail Connectivity

Indian Railways has approved a new daily Express train, Train No. 15087/15088, between CSMT Mumbai and Sawantwadi Road, covering 510 km.

The train will stop at 22 stations including Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, and Kudal, improving connectivity in Maharashtra's coastal belt.

The service aims to benefit tourists, students, daily commuters, traders, and others traveling between Mumbai and southern Konkan.

The train is expected to support local businesses and tourism by easing travel to towns in Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts.

Operational details such as start date and timetable are to be announced separately by the Railways.
