Die Hard actor Bruce Willis was spotted in a rare public outing in Studio City, Los Angeles, on July 19, 2026, amid his battle with frontotemporal dementia.

Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023, a condition that affects his speech and communication but does not impair his memory, according to his wife Emma Heming.

Emma Heming clarified on The Bossticks podcast that Willis does not have Alzheimer's and that his variant of FTD affects language, not memory.

Willis retired from acting in 2022 after initially being diagnosed with aphasia, which was later reclassified as frontotemporal dementia.
