BHMS Doctors Stage Lock-In At Maharashtra Medical Council Over CCMP Registration; Protest Ends After Assurance

BHMS doctors staged a lock-in at the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) office in Chinchpokli, Mumbai, over the registration of Certificate Course in Modern Pharmacology (CCMP) qualification.
The protest began after MMC Registrar Dr. Rakesh Waghmare left for Mantralaya at 1 p.m. and did not return, leaving the Integrated Doctors Association (N) delegation without a decision.
Around 6 p.m., the doctors locked themselves inside the conference room, refusing to leave until minutes of the meeting and clarity on CCMP registration were provided.
The standoff ended after a senior Mantralaya official assured that the issue would be resolved by Monday or Tuesday next week.
The protest was peaceful; no police complaint was lodged, and MMC confirmed the government order and minutes are still pending.
