Dolly Parton's brother Coy Parton dies at 82

Coy 'Denver' Parton, brother of Dolly Parton, died at age 82 on July 23, 2026.

He worked as a crane operator in bridge construction and was a homestead farmer and passionate hunter.

Denver Parton was one of twelve children born to Avie Lee Owens Parton and Robert Lee Parton.

He is survived by daughters Chris Parton and Jennifer Parton, grandson Ian Parton, and several siblings.

The cause of death has not been determined, and funeral services will be held privately.
