Iran claims to stop three oil tankers transiting Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Revolutionary Guards claimed to have prevented three oil tankers from transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran has targeted tankers using a route along the Omani coast to force vessels into Iranian waters and pay for safe passage.

The Guards stated one tanker exploded and caught fire before the other two turned back.
