Haryana revises quota norms for ex-Agniveers

Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi issued revised instructions on July 20, 2026, partially modifying the August 20, 2025 quota norms for ex-Agniveers in direct recruitments.

The 20% horizontal reservation for ex-Agniveers is unchanged, but the revision specifies category-wise distribution for posts of forest guard, prison warder, and mining guard.

Under the revised breakup, 2% is for Deprived Scheduled Castes (DSC), 2% for Other Scheduled Castes (OSC), 3% for Backward Class-A (BC-A), 2% for Backward Class-B (BC-B), 2% for economically weaker sections (EWS), and 9% for unreserved category.

The notification also prescribes separate roster points for each category to ensure uniform implementation during recruitment.
