Gurugram’s built-up area grew 64% from 102.50 sq km in 2015 to 168.20 sq km in 2025, per a GMDA GIS study.
Growth concentrated along Dwarka Expressway, Southern Peripheral Road, NH-48, Golf Course Extension Road, Sohna Road, New Gurugram, Cyber City-Udyog Vihar, and IMT Manesar.
GMDA will use the study to plan infrastructure like roads, drainage, water supply, sewerage, public transport, and intelligent traffic management.
The study used high-resolution satellite imagery, GIS, and machine learning with over 92% mapping accuracy.
