Aerotropolis project: GMADA announces ₹23,457 crore for 3,522 acres acquired in 8 Mohali villages

GMADA announced ₹23,457 crore in compensation for acquiring 3,522 acres across 8 Mohali villages for the Aerotropolis project.

Matran received the highest compensation rate at ₹8.28 crore per acre, followed by Bakarpur at ₹8.22 crore per acre.

GMADA will launch a fully online faceless land pooling system within a week, allowing landowners to choose between cash compensation and land pooling without visiting offices.

The system anonymizes applications using unique IDs to ensure unbiased scrutiny and transparency.

Kurdi accounted for the largest land acquisition at nearly 1,396 acres, with compensation of about ₹8,779 crore.
