UP supplementary budget may earmark funds for infra projects, youth, women

Uttar Pradesh's first supplementary budget for 2026-27, to be presented by Finance Minister Suresh Khanna on August 4, may allocate funds for infrastructure projects and schemes for youth and women.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath chaired a high-level meeting on August 1 to consider departmental proposals for the supplementary budget.
The final supplementary budget will be placed before the state cabinet for approval on August 4.
The annual budget for 2026-27 was ₹9.12 lakh crore, including ₹43,565.33 crore for new schemes.
Funds may be earmarked for new expressways, including the Vindhya Expressway and Vindhya-Purvanchal Super Link expressway.
