Delhi govt clears ₹400-crore start-up policy, to set up incubation centres

  1. Delhi Cabinet approved the Delhi Start-up and Incubation policy, a ₹400-crore plan over five years.

  2. The policy will establish incubation centres in state-run higher education institutions, including 11 state universities and 13 government-aided colleges in the first phase.

  3. Incubation centres will provide infrastructure, mentoring, business advisory, intellectual property support, and investor connections.

  4. Eligible institutions receive one-time financial assistance and annual operational support for incubation centres.

  5. Start-ups receive milestone-based financial assistance for prototype development, proof of concept, product development, market validation, and commercialization.
