Govt extends PM-Kisan yojana

The Indian government extended the PM-Kisan Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi) from 2026-27 to 2030-31.

The scheme's total financial outlay for the extension is Rs 3.1 lakh crore.

Eligible landholding farmer families receive Rs 6,000 per year in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each.

The government stated the scheme has enhanced farmers' productive capacity.
