Delhi govt designates three Rouse Avenue courts exclusively for NIA trial cases

  1. Delhi government designated three Special Exclusive Courts at Rouse Avenue Court for NIA trial cases, replacing NIA courts at Patiala House.

  2. Approximately 55 pending NIA cases from Patiala House will be transferred and distributed equally among the three new courts.

  3. The notification was issued on July 24, 2026, under Section 11 of the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008, in consultation with the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court.

  4. A total of 16 new courtrooms were built at Rouse Avenue Court; 13 remain undesignated.

  5. Rouse Avenue Court already handles cases involving MPs, MLAs, and CBI/ED cases.
