$17.406 billion raised in FCNR(B) deposits so far by Indian banks

Indian banks raised $17.406 billion in FCNR(B) deposits.

The RBI removed the interest rate ceiling on FCNR(B) deposits on June 18.

This allows banks to offer NRIs more attractive returns on fresh FCNR(B) deposits.
