Guide to flying with pets in India

Air India allows pets weighing up to 10 kg (including carrier) to travel in the aircraft cabin in India.

Pets weighing 10–32 kg must be transported as checked baggage or in the cargo hold; those over 32 kg can only travel as air cargo.

Cabin travel benefits include priority check-in and boarding, and booking through customer care up to 48 hours before the flight.

Required documents for flying with pets include a pet passport, vaccination record, and rabies certificate.
