Panchkula: 10 days after being hit by car, Pinjore teen succumbs to injuries

A 15-year-old girl died 10 days after being hit by an unidentified car on Kalka road in Pinjore.

The victim was crossing the road to visit the Mango Mela at Yadavindra Gardens when the car struck her.

Passersby took her to civil hospital in Sector 6, Panchkula, then referred to PGIMER.

Family initially did not lodge a complaint but approached police after her death.

Case registered against unidentified driver under Sections 106 (death by negligence) and 281 (rash driving) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
