Special trains for Onam rush

  1. South Western Railway will operate four special trains between Mysuru, Kannur and Bengaluru Cantonment for the Onam festival.

  2. Train 06227 leaves Mysuru at 10.30pm on Aug 25, reaches Kannur at 2pm; return 06228 leaves Kannur at 6.25pm on Aug 26, arrives Bengaluru Cantonment at 8.35am.

  3. Train 06229 leaves Mysuru at 11.55pm on Aug 29, reaches Kannur at 5.50pm; return 06230 leaves Kannur at 7.45pm on Aug 30, arrives Cantonment at 10am.

  4. The trains stop at stations including Mandya, KSR Bengaluru, Salem Junction, Erode, Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Thalassery.

  5. Each train has 20 coaches: one AC two-tier, two AC three-tier, nine sleeper, six general second-class, and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
