Mumbai: Developer Booked Over Alleged Irregularities In Mulund SRA Redevelopment Project

The Navghar Police filed an FIR against Vijay Panchal, Director of M/s Yashraj Corporation, for alleged irregularities in the redevelopment of Shivchandra SRA Co-operative Housing Society in Mulund East.
The developer allotted flats and allowed occupants to reside in both the rehabilitation and sale buildings without obtaining an Occupancy Certificate, lift completion certificate, or other statutory approvals.
Yashraj Corporation failed to hand over nine Project Affected Persons tenements to the Slum Rehabilitation Authority as required under the scheme.
The SRA issued notices to the developer on April 1 and May 4 after the failure to hand over the tenements, which were acknowledged by the developer.
The accused face charges of criminal breach of trust and cheating the SRA and eligible slum dwellers by withholding and unauthorizedly allotting PAP flats.
