Fraudsters create fake Bengaluru’s Kumara Krupa Guest House website to dupe customers
Cyber fraudsters created a fake website kumarkrupaguesthouse.in impersonating New Kumara Krupa State Guest House in Bengaluru.
The fraudulent site offered online room bookings and collected payments from customers by issuing fake invoices.
Guest house senior manager Karthik Santhosh filed a complaint after customers reported receiving booking confirmations from the fake site.
The guest house is not associated with the fake website, and guests are urged to verify booking platforms before paying.
A case has been registered with central cybercrime police under the Information Technology Act.
