Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Police Rescue 14 Cattle, Seize Vehicles Worth ₹9.85 Lakh

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Rural Police rescued 14 Jersey cattle and seized four vehicles worth ₹9.85 lakh in two operations.

Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap near MIT College and Rotegaon Railway Bridge, intercepting vehicles on Vaijapur–Shiur Road.

Accused Sunil Manohar Maghare, Zuber Farid Qureshi, and Asif Bhikan Shah were arrested; vehicles seized included a Bolero pickup and an Ashok Leyland pickup.

In a separate operation at Jayakwadi Phata, police rescued two cows and arrested Shafiq Rafiq Shaikh, seizing a vehicle worth ₹3.45 lakh.

Cases were registered under various legal provisions, and police vowed to continue action against illegal cattle transportation.
