K'taka: Man arrested for killing wife

A 29-year-old man was arrested for killing his wife in Bagalkot district, Karnataka.

The victim was identified as Bhagyashree Jigalur, found dead at her home in Galagali village.

The accused, Praveen Ashok Jigalur, allegedly filmed his wife's final moments while she was hanging and circulated the video to family members.

The motive is suspected to be the victim's alleged extramarital affair, which led to frequent disputes.

Police recovered video evidence and an iron rod-like weapon; post-mortem will clarify the cause of death.
