Mumbai Police Arrest Wanted UP Gang Leader Hiding Under False Identity, Hand Him Over To Uttar Pradesh Police

Mumbai Police's Yellow Gate Police arrested Nishant Rajesh Singh (23), a wanted gang leader from Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, on July 30, 2026.

Singh was living in Mumbai under a false identity and was detained near Bay View Hotel following a tip-off to Police Inspector Nilesh Kamble.

He was wanted under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, and had three cases including robbery and illegal firearm possession.

Yellow Gate Police coordinated with Ataria Police Station in Sitapur, leading to Singh's handover to a UP Police team on August 1, 2026.
