Expect 'constructive' debate during UP Assembly Monsoon session: Speaker

Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana appealed for constructive discussions during the Monsoon session starting August 3.

The session will run from August 3 to 6, with the supplementary budget for 2026-27 to be presented.

Mahana urged members to debate with facts and logic, maintaining dignity and decorum.

The session is seen as an opportunity to review the government's performance over the past four-and-a-half years.

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved the session; the previous session was adjourned sine die on April 30.
