India exports $140 million worth of goods to UK at zero duty on Day 1 of trade pact implementation
India exported over $140 million in goods duty-free to the UK on the first day of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) implementation.
More than 50 export consignments were flagged off from over 20 locations, including ports, airports, and factories across India.
The shipments included electronics, pharmaceuticals, gems and jewellery, textiles, and other products.
CETA grants duty-free access to nearly 99% of Indian exports to the UK, covering sectors like leather, footwear, and machinery.
