AI changing economics of software engineering: Wipro’s Premji

Wipro reduced monthly financial closing cycles from 24 hours to eight hours and planning activities from a month to five days using AI internally.

For FY26, Wipro's IT services revenue declined 0.3% to $10.4 billion, but the company expanded operating margins and raised shareholder payout ratio to 87.8%.
