PoP idol manufacturers have challenged the CPCB guidelines, claiming violation of their fundamental right to carry on business.

Senior advocate Mihir Desai argued that CPCB guidelines are legally binding and supersede state policy.

The Bombay High Court will continue the final hearing on July 20, 2026.
