  2. The gold was concealed in three oval-shaped capsules hidden in his rectum after he arrived from Addis Ababa.

  3. Customs officers intercepted him at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport based on suspicion and recovered the gold after an X-ray examination.

  4. Ukkachiyil admitted to smuggling the gold and stated he was to deliver it to another person for ₹30,000.

  5. He was remanded to judicial custody as investigations continue to identify other members of the gold smuggling syndicate.
