Imran Khan's take on actors who stay apolitical amid student protests: 'Your art has no value'

Imran Khan joined a Mumbai protest march in solidarity with CJP-led student protesters demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over NEET paper leak allegations.

Khan told an aspiring actor that actors who stay apolitical lack artistic value, stating: 'If you can’t stand by your opinions... your art has no value.'

On social media, Khan condemned police lathi-charge against students, calling the system 'meant to protect and support them' as having 'failed them.'

Activist Sonam Wangchuk has been on a hunger strike for 26 days in support of the student movement, which has been ongoing for nearly a month.
