July auto sales rev up as Maruti crosses 2L, Tata EVs double

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles sales jumped 59% year-on-year to 63,760 units in July 2026, with electric vehicle sales more than doubling to 15,217 units.

Maruti Suzuki sold 2.4 lakh vehicles in July 2026, crossing the two-lakh domestic sales mark for the first time in any July; utility vehicle sales rose nearly 50% to 78,851 units.

Mahindra's domestic SUV sales rose 20% year-on-year to 60,048 units in July 2026, with total vehicle sales up 26% to 1,03,860 units.

Hyundai Motor India posted record monthly sales of 75,360 units in July 2026, including 54,210 domestic sales and 21,150 exports, its highest export tally in over 100 months.

Nissan's domestic wholesales soared 218% to 4,518 units in July 2026 following deliveries of the Tekton SUV, which began on July 20; total sales including exports reached 9,339 vehicles.
