Sonam Wangchuk claims govt assured him Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation would be considered

Activist Sonam Wangchuk says the Centre assured him it would 'positively consider' Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation in connection with the NEET paper leak.

Wangchuk said the government also assured adequate compensation for families of students who died by suicide following the paper leak.

Wangchuk demands an unequivocal assurance that no student or protester involved in the anti-NEET movement will face legal action.

Wangchuk stated he would end his indefinite fast only if the government provides such an assurance, otherwise he would continue.

Around 65 MPs from various parties have written to Wangchuk urging him to end his fast.
