Supreme Court extended Bengaluru civic poll deadline to December 31, 2026.

Elections are for five city corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA).

This is the second extension granted by the Supreme Court in 2026.

The state cited difficulty due to ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Bengaluru will continue without elected representatives in its urban local bodies.
