Egypt analysing drone fragments from port strike, warns of 'escalation'

Egypt's government is analyzing drone fragments from a strike on two gas vessels in Damietta port, a first such attack on Egypt since the Middle East war began.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi warned of the 'danger of regional escalation' in a call with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

The drone strike hit the US-owned Energos Winter vessel and the GasLog Salem tanker; no party has claimed responsibility.
