Mexican drug kingpin Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada to be sentenced in US to life in prison

Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, a Mexican drug kingpin, faces life imprisonment in the US.

Zambada was arrested in July 2024 with Joaquin Guzman Lopez in New Mexico.

The arrest occurred after their plane landed at a small airstrip in the region.

Zambada is a co-founder of the Sinaloa Cartel.
