Pune: Delivery Boy Assaults Cop After He Intervenes In Dispute With Woman

Aryan Ajit Sawant (19), a resident of Sayali Complex in Walhekarwadi, Akurdi, allegedly assaulted a police constable who intervened in a dispute between Sawant and a woman near Shaniwar Wada in central Pune.

Police Constable Vaibhav Yesade intervened when Sawant was arguing with a woman, abusing her and attempting to assault her.

Sawant turned aggressive, abused the constable, pushed him, and said 'I have just come out of jail' before physically assaulting him.

Faraskhana police registered a case against Sawant for assaulting a public servant and obstructing official duties.
