Panchkula road rage: Two men in SUVs attack 49-year-old with iron rods

Two men in a black Fortuner (CH01BY9826) and a black BMW (PB10GK5100) attacked a 49-year-old labour contractor with iron rods near Sector 5/8 traffic lights in Panchkula on July 26, 2026.

The victim was returning home with his 15-year-old daughter from tuition when the Fortuner began chasing his car, honking and flashing headlights.

The attackers allegedly abused the victim, forcibly opened his car door, and struck him repeatedly on the head with iron rods, causing severe head injuries.

The victim's daughter was threatened when she tried to intervene; the attackers threatened to kill both of them before fleeing.

An FIR was registered under sections for criminal intimidation, common intention, obscene acts, and voluntarily causing hurt; police are examining CCTV footage and have identified the vehicles.
