Josh Allen’s charity golf event raises $17M; fatherhood deepens his empathy

Josh Allen's annual '117 Holes for Charity' golf event helped the Patricia Allen Fund reach $17 million in donations.

The fund supports Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo, with 100% of donations going directly to care for children and families in Western New York.

After becoming a father to daughter Harper, Allen said he now understands parents facing hospital crises differently.

Allen spoke emotionally at the event, telling parents he can now picture himself in their situation.

The Patricia Allen Fund originated from fan donations in $17 increments honoring Allen's jersey number and late grandmother.
