Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC Anil Parab, 10 others acquitted in 2023 assault case

Anil Parab, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC, and 10 others were acquitted in a 2023 assault case.

Additional sessions judge Mahesh K Jadhav ruled the prosecution failed to prove the accused assaulted, threatened, or obstructed civic officials beyond reasonable doubt.

The case stemmed from a June 26, 2023 incident at Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's H-East ward office after demolition of a party office.

Prosecution witnesses admitted the meeting began peacefully for about 30 minutes, and evidence did not identify the accused as responsible.

The court found no evidence directly connecting the accused to the alleged offenses.
