Calcutta HC allows Mamata Banerjee-led TMC faction to hold Martyrs' Day rally, shifts venue near Birla Planetarium

Calcutta High Court allowed the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC faction to hold its July 21 Martyrs' Day rally near Birla Planetarium instead of Victoria House.

Justice Saugata Bhattacharya ordered the venue change to ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain law and order.

Attendance is limited to 2,500 people, and the rally must be held between 12 PM and 3:30 PM.

The TMC faction must submit names and contact details of 20 volunteers to Kolkata Police for compliance.

Two other rallies by Congress and a rival TMC faction are also scheduled in the Esplanade area on the same day.
